General Information:
Horses can on average live to between 25 and 33 years old although many live well beyond this. Ponies tend to live longer.
Although ponies and horses come in a huge range of natural colours the most popular colours are:
Bay - where the main body colour ranges from light reddish-brown to very dark brown and the "points" are black
Chestnut - a reddish body colour and no black
Grey - the horse has black skin but the hairs are white or dark and white mixed
Then there are three types of Grey:
The rarest colour for a horse is White. White horses tend to have unpigmented skin (pink), white hairs and either blue or brown eyes. Their hair colour will not change.
